True Chromatic Color is a digital color model that defines the behavior of digital color (RGB) based on the component colors of white light.

How does True Chromatic Color improve RGB?
RGB simulates white light by combining red, green, and blue lights. It is a linear color model represented as a cube.
True Chromatic Color is a non-linear, three dimensional color model that uses RGB data to simulate the component colors of white light.
Is True Chromatic Color the same as color management ?
Color management is necessary for screens and printers to produce the same colors, but is not sufficient for describing the appearance of colors.
True Chromatic Color describes the appearance of the component colors of white light to an RGB source the way the eye sees them.
What is color management?
Color management uses colorimetry, the instrumented measurement of colors, to match systems that produce colors - like your screen and your printer... or two different screens. It usually involves calibrating devices so that they perform the same way.
True Chromatic Color works in color managed systems with no additional calibration required.
What about OLED's, are they more accurate?
OLED screens are more colorful displays. But a more colorful display, does not mean a more accurate recording.
Similar to turning up a speaker, when you turn up the volume you get more sound, but not more sounds.
Good news, True Chormatic Color works with on OLED screens!
What about Adobe RGB and DCI-P3?
DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB are more colorful spaces. And just like OLED screens, more colorful does not mean more color accurate.
